"Suspicious activity” at school bus stops raises concerns in Jackson Co

The Sheriff’s Office investigation continues in Jackson County, where reports of suspicious vehicles at school bus stops surfaced shortly after the start of the school year. In one case, a man who claimed to be with DFACS is said to have tried to lure children into a vehicle. That happened in Nicholson.

The GBI makes arrests in last week's deadly shooting in Toccoa: 18 year-old Joel Green was shot last Wednesday and died after being taken to Stephens County Hospital. Arrested and charged in his murder are 21 year-old Kentavious Walker and 23 year-old Ty'Jai Trammell.

We have this morning the name of a Gwinnett County homicide victim: police in Norcross say Claudine Hargrove was stabbed to death in a motel room. Her body was found by a motel security guard. Joseph Jackson is in the Gwinnett County jail, facing a felony murder charge.

There are sexual battery charges for a Rockdale County Sheriff’s deputy: Dedra Hall is 40 years old, from Covington. She’s posted bond and has been released from the jail in Conyers.
