UGA Softball opens play in College World Series

The University of Georgia softball team is set to make its fifth program appearance in the Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City. The Bulldogs open play in USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium against Oklahoma State, with first pitch in the double-elimination tournament set for 2:30 this afternoon.

The Women’s College World Series features eight teams, squaring off in a double-elimination tournament format. The final two teams will play for the National Championship in a best-of-three championships series, which will begin June 7.

All games of the Women’s College World Series will air on the networks of ESPN. Georgia’s game against Oklahoma State will air on ESPN. Kevin Brown (play-by-play) along with Amanda Scarborough (analyst) and Jalyn Johnson (reporter) will be on the call.  » All games will stream live on the ESPN app.

» All games of the Women’s College World Series will be broadcast via Westwood One Sports. Westwood One Sports can be found on Sirius XM channel 84, via the Tune In Radio app, and online at WestwoodOneSports.com/ncaaplayer. Ryan Radtke and Destinee Martinez will be on the call for Thursday’s game.
