UNG hosts another COVID vaccine forum

The University of North Georgia hosts this afternoon the second in its series of three community town halls to talk about coronavirus vaccinations: the 5:30 session takes place on the UNG campus in Blue Ridge. Another is set for tomorrow, also at 5:30, at the North Georgia campus in Hall County.

The mass coronavirus vaccination site in Habersham County is among a half dozen around the state that are now offering vaccines without appointments: the facility in Clarkesville joins others in Savannah, Waycross, Sandersville, Macon, and Columbus in opening for walk-up vaccinations.

Georgia’s largest private university is requiring that all its students to get vaccinated for COVID 19 before beginning the fall semester. Emory University says it is not mandating the shots for faculty and staff. Clark Atlanta, Morehouse, and Spelman are requiring both students and teachers get the coronavirus vaccine.
