WATCH: Georgia releases national title game trailer narrated by Vince Dooley

Tonight is championship night. At 7:30 p.m., the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs will face off against the No. 3 TCU Horned Frogs at So-Fi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

Georgia fans across the country are amped for Monday night’s game but Saturday Down South’s Keith Farner is reporting on something that “could send the Bulldogs over the edge.”

On Sunday night, the University of Georgia released a hype video narrated by the legendary coach Vince Dooley.

“Life as a Bulldog has always been something very special,” Dooley says at the start of the video. “It’s much easier sometimes to try to get there, than to be there and hold on to it and defend.”

Dooley, who passed away at age 90 in October, led the Bulldogs to the 1980 national championship.

Featuring clips of Kirby Smart from the locker room, Farner adds, the video also shares Dooley’s sentiment that Georgia will “battle an opponent for 60 minutes.”

“They’re going to play you together, I’ll assure you of that,” Dooley affirms.

The winningest coach in Georgia’s history, Dooley appeared in 20 bowl games and won 201 games. He also served as athletic director and built the program into one of the most successful in the nation.

Farner adds that UGA is trying to become the first school to repeat as national champions since Alabama a decade ago – “and the first to go back-to-back in the nine-year history of the four-team playoff.”
