The Hall County woman who was hit by an SUV last Friday died Monday, passing away at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville: Sherri Anderson was 59 years old, from Gainesville. Police in Gainesville say the accident happened while she was walking to a convenience store. They say there will be no charges for the driver of the SUV.
A man from Dacula is killed in a motorcycle crash on Braselton Highway: Gwinnett County Police say John Matthews was 46 years old. The accident is under investigation.
There were no injuries reported, but 18 people have been displaced, burned out of an apartment complex in Gainesville. Gainesville firefighters are working to determine the cause of the blaze; the Red Cross is helping those who were displaced by the fire.
