Woman discovered dead in Toccoa identified, mystery surrounds body found in Flowery Branch

The woman whose body was found along railroad tracks in Toccoa has been identified: Deborah Elmore was 58 years old, from Seneca South Carolina. There is still no word on cause of death. The GBI and the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office are investigating.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office says an autopsy will be conducted on human remains found earlier this week in a wooded area near Flowery Branch.

Deputies are investigating after human remains were found in Hall County.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to Channel 2 Action News that the remains were found Monday afternoon.

Deputies discovered the remains after they searched a wooded area on Paradise Point Road in Flowery Branch.

The sheriff’s office says the remains have been sent for an autopsy. The autopsy will identify the remains and the cause of death.

Officials say they won’t have any new information until the autopsy is completed. It could take several days for the coroner to complete the autopsy.
