According to court records, North Las Vegas police arrested David O’Quinn, 54, on Jan. 13 and charged him with sexual assault and residential burglary, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.

In an interview with police, who learned that O’Quinn is not in compliance with the sex offender registry, he admitted to sexual encounters with the woman, whom he knew had a mental disability, but he insisted they were consensual, KLAS-TV reported.

According to the arrest report, O’Quinn and the woman met at work and communicated via Facebook after he initiated contact there. The woman told police that O’Quinn sexually assaulted her in her home on two separate occasions in 2021, the Review-Journal reported.

She also told police she did not immediately report the assaults because she was scared, KLAS-TV reported.

Meanwhile, the woman’s family told investigators that she has the mental capacity of a 12-year-old and cannot live independently, the Review-Journal reported.

The woman also shared Facebook messages from O’Quinn with police of him threatening to share explicit photos of her with people whom she knew, the newspaper reported.
