Voters voting today in NE Ga sales tax referendums

Today is an election day in four northeast Georgia counties: sales tax referendums will be decided in balloting in Franklin, Elbert, Jackson, and Oconee counties.

There are also a pair of alcohol referendums on ballots in the Madison County city of Comer, one that would allow for liquor by the drink sales and another that would allow for alcohol to be sold on Sundays in Comer.

Joe Craft, Jenny Bridges, and Maggie Collins are running for a seat on the City Council in Bogart.

Polls open at 7 o’clock this morning and are open until 7 o’clock tonight. Turnout was light in three weeks of early voting and is expected to be light again today.
