UGA Baseball to hold double header Saturday, cancels Sunday game

ATHENS-----Due to the threat of inclement weather Sunday, 18th-ranked Georgia and 11th-ranked Kentucky will conclude an SEC baseball series here Saturday with a doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m. There is no change to game one of the series on Friday.

The Bulldogs (24-9, 8-4 SEC) play host to the Wildcats (23-10, 5-7 SEC) starting Friday at 7 p.m., and the game will be available on SEC Network+ and the Bulldog Sports Network from IMG.

Saturday’s action will feature a doubleheader starting at 3 p.m. The first game of the day will be streamed online as a simulcast with Jeff Dantzler and David Johnston on the broadcast, and it will be available on SEC Network+ and the Bulldog Sports Network from IMG. The final game of the series will begin no earlier than 7 p.m. Saturday and be televised on the SEC Network with Dave Neal and Ben McDonald calling the action plus be available on the Bulldog Sports Network from IMG.

A Saturday ticket is good for both games of the doubleheader. Fans holding tickets for the Sunday game may exchange those for general admission tickets to any remaining home baseball game during the 2018 season, pending availability.

The Kentucky series will feature an array of promotions including Friday’s Georgia Baseball 1990 replica hat giveaway to the first 1,000 fans and Saturday’s Georgia Baseball Lanyard giveaway to the first 1,000 fans. However with no game Sunday, the next chance for kids to participate in the Anthem Buddies, Run the Bases, Play Catch in the Outfield and get post-game Autographs will be the April 29th against Tennessee at Foley Field.
