ATHENS The Georgia football program has proven itself an annual national championship contender, and BetMGM indicated as much with its recently released odds.
The Bulldogs, coming off a 12-2 season and No. 4 national ranking, are favored in five of the six games the Las Vegas-based bookmaker recently posted spreads on.
It's clear BetMGM is bullish onFlorida. This year's annual rivalry game in the Sunshine State, some 71 miles from the Gators' campus, is projected to be the closest in years.
BetMGM has Florida favored to beat defending national champion LSU, too.
Alabama, clearly, is the favorite in the league, per the oddsmaker.
There are still plenty of hurdles for college football to return amid the COVID-19 pandemic. All sports activity on campuses shutdown through May 31, and different states in different stages of reopening.
The NCAA is working with conference commissioners to come up with re-socialization plans that will offer student-athletes optimal safety when sports resume.
Indeed, with gyms opening up across the country schools have made the case that student-athletes would be better off working in their own controlled facilities, with testing and medial personnel present.
