ATHENS — Georgia football seniors D’Andre Walker, Jonathan Ledbetter and Deandre Baker are expected to be invited to take part in the 2019 Senior Bowl, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.
The Bulldogs had just one representative in college football’s top all-star game last season. Offensive lineman Isaiah Wynn improved his stock practicing and playing under an NFL coaching staff with hundreds of NFL general managers, scouts and head coaches from all 32 teams watching.
The 2019 Senior Bowl takes place at 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 26 in Mobile, Ala. (TV: NFL Network), but the days of practices and one-on-one drill work are viewed as just as important as the game, if not more so.
Baker could move into the top 10 overall picks of the 2019 NFL Draft class with a strong showing at the Senior Bowl.
LSU sophomore Greedy Williams is currently ranked the top cornerback in the class, and some NFL projections have Penn State senior Amani Oruwariye ranked ahead of Baker as the No. 2 cornerback.
There’s a lot of potential for Ledbetter and Walker to move up in the draft as well.
Currently, neither Walker or Ledbetter are projected to be selected in the first three rounds, according to WalterFootball.com.
New Senior Bowl executive director Jim Nagy tweeted that he was so impressed with Walker in fall camp that he wanted to invited him on the spot.
You don’t see @DAndreWalker15 from @FootballUGA in many mock drafts but he’s one of my favorite players in this year’s class. I was tempted to break all protocol and offer him a @seniorbowl invite on the practice field when I was in Athens back in August. He’s dominating today. pic.twitter.com/zjmsF7BnKY

More outgoing Georgia seniors are expected to be considered for the East-West Shrine Game, which also attracts NFL scouts and personnel managers and takes place on Jan. 19 in St. Petersburg, Fla., at Tropicana Field.
Bulldogs center Lamont Gaillard, receiver Terry Godwin and linebackers Natrez Patrick and Juwan Taylor were among the most productive senior players for Georgia this season.
The deadline for underclassmen to apply for eligibility in Jan. 14.
Georgia currently doesn’t have any underclassmen projected to be selected in the first three rounds of the 2019 NFL Draft.
The NFL Combine takes place from Feb. 26 through March 4 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, and Georgia most often holds its “Pro Day” workout later in March for NFL personnel managers and coaches to attend.
The 2019 NFL Draft takes place April 25-27 in Nashville, Tenn.
