ATHENS Georgia football coach Kirby Smart provided an injury update on Friday, and the news couldn't be much better on the health front.
Most notably, the UGA defensive line is back in business after several missed spring drills on account on offseason surgery.
"Everybody is cleared on the D-Line," Smart said. "Julian (Rochester) is going to be cleared today but we are not in pads.
"Were we in pads and tackling, he still had some room to improve there to be in full contact."
But, Smart indicated, defensive linemen Michail Charter, David Marshall and Trezman Marshall are back and ready to go.
Here's a list of the players who were injured in the spring, with the updates Smart provided in his Friday press conference at Butts-Mehre Heritage Hall:
DL David Marshall (foot surgery), cleared
RB Zamir White (knee surgery), cleared
QB D'Wan Mathis (head), no contact
DL Julian Rochester (knee surgery), cleared, limited
DL Michail Carter (shoulder surgery), cleared
LB Rian Davis (knee surgery), cleared
TE Ryland Goede (knee surgery), cleared
RB Prather Hudson (shoulder surgery), cleared
LB Trezman Marshall (shoulder surgery), cleared
