City Council vacancies filled in special elections in Hoschton, Clermont

Mary Powers wins a special election in Hoschton, defeating Vanessa Weeks in the race to fill the unexpired term of former Hoschton City Council member Scott Butler.

There was also a Tuesday special election in the Hall County town of Clermont, where Cynthia Shubert-Jett beat Eric Thomas by three votes. Shubert-Jett fills the unexpired term of former Clermont City Council member Robin Brown, who resigned in December.
