Oconee Co GOP meets tonight

The monthly meeting of the Oconee County Republican Party is on tap for tonight, underway at the Piedmont Oconee Health Campus on Jennings Mill Road. Oconee County Commission Chairman John Daniell and members of the Oconee County legislative delegation are scheduled to speak. Oconee County state Rep Marcus Wiedower will face off against his GOP primary challenger John Grigsby.

From the Oconee Co GOP…

There are 10 ballot questions on the May 21st Primary ballot which can lower your property taxes by increasing the homestead exemption and freezing valuation for some residents. John Daniell, Chairman of the Oconee County Board of Commissioners, will join us to explain how this plan works and what you need to do to make it happen.

The Legislative Session is finally over and we will have a Legislative Update from State Rep Houston Gaines, State Representative Marcus Wiedower and State Senator Bill Cowsert.

And finally, we will hear from John Michael Grigsby who is seeking the legislative seat currently held by State Representative Marcus Wiedower.
