Transit forum today in Athens

There is transit talk today in Athens: the Athens Transit System hosts a public comment session that gets underway at 1 o’clock and last til 6 at the Multi-modal Transportation Center on East Broad Street. Transit officials are looking for input on an update to the Athens-Clarke County Transit Development Plan.

An Envision Athens steering committee meeting is on tap for today: 5:30 this afternoon at the Government Building on Dougherty Street.

The Athens-Clarke County Board of Assessors meets this afternoon: it's a 5 o'clock session at City Hall. Madison County's Board of Assessors meets, 5 o'clock in Danielsville.

Oconee County Commissioners are taking part in a town hall meeting that is underway at 6:30 in the Community Center at the Oconee Veterans Park.

The Gainesville City Council meets this morning: a 9 o'clock work session at the Administration Building in Gainesville. Grant money for bullet-proof vests for Gainesville Police officers are among the items on the Council's business agenda. 

This evening's Hall County Commission meeting starts at 6 o'clock at the Hall County Government Center in Gainesville.
