Barrow County businessman Matt Richards joins the growing list of candidates for Congress: the Bethlehem Republican says he will run to replace 10th District Congressman Jody Hice, who is leaving the House to wage a 2022 primary challenge to Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger.
Other announced candidates include former Athens Congressman Paul Broun, Gwinnett County state Rep Timothy Barr, and Mike Collins, son of the late Georgia Congressman Mac Collins.
The Republican primary will take place in May of next year.
