2 men sentenced to decades in prison for deadly Gwinnett County gang-related shooting

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — Two Minnesota men have been sentenced to decades in prison in connection with a 2022 gang-related shooting in Snellville that killed one man and seriously injured another.

The two Minneapolis men pleaded guilty to aggravated assault, gang and firearms charges stemming from the shooting. Both men were 19 years old at the time.

They were sentenced to 40 years, with between 25 and 30 years to serve in prison.

Investigators used Flock cameras to track the suspects and identified them as members of the Somali Outlawz criminal street gang.

Investigators say the men were hitmen who were paid to target members of a rival gang in Gwinnett County.

Police also linked the men to another shooting in Fayetteville in 2022.
