GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — Four K-9 deputies are retiring from the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office after a combined 26 years of service.
K-9s Armo, Cino, Kimbo and Jestina supported operations throughout their careers, helping detect narcotics and contraband, locate wanted individuals and keep the community safe.
Armo, Cino and Kimbo contributed to more than 550 arrests and helped find nearly 350 people. The three K-9s also worked to locate hundreds of pounds of illegal drugs.
Jestina served at the Gwinnett County Jail, where she worked to detect contraband.
The sheriff’s office says each of the four K-9s has been a trusted companion and valued member of the agency throughout their careers.
Gwinnett County Sheriff Keybo Taylor says the retiring K-9s have earned the right to enjoy long days of rest.
