Athens libraries offer computer sessions

Appointments needed, masks required

The Athens Regional Library System says most of its branches will offer computer access starting today. Officials at the Library on Baxter Street says those who want to use the computers will need to phone ahead and make reservations.

“We understand that many people in our communities rely on their local library for computer use and internet access. We are happy to have been able to offer free wi-fi access in our libraries’ parking lots throughout the pandemic, and now we are pleased to announce a plan to allow patrons to use our public computers as safely as possible,” said Athens Regional Library System Executive Director Valerie Bell.

Reservations can be made by calling your local Athens Regional Library System branch. You can reserve one one-hour session per day.
