Campus notes: UGA is set for Maymester, UNG gets state funding for facilities

Capital projects for Univ of North Ga campuses in Dahlonega and Cumming

Today is the eve of the start of a new semester at the University of Georgia: the University’s Maymester classes begin tomorrow. There is more Maymester registration today at UGA.

The University of Georgia golf course is, for a second day, closed to the public: the course on Riverbend Road in Athens is playing host to high school state championships.

Two construction projects at the University of North Georgia--a new business building in Dahlonega and a building expansion for the UNG campus in Cumming--have received more than $4 million in funding in Georgia’s Fiscal Year 2022 budget. Governor Brian Kemp signed the $23.7 billion state budget last week.
