Charges in deadly crashes in Barrow, Elbert counties

A 26 year-old woman from Athens has been identified as the person killed in the Thursday crash that closed Highway 316 in Barrow County: the Georgia State Patrol says Lauranne Teyssier was driving the car that slammed into a tractor trailer rig on 316 at Barber Creek Road in Statham. The driver of the truck, 66 year-old Richard Fearing of Fayetteville North Carolina, is facing charges that include vehicular homicide. State Troopers say he was not injured in the accident, which remains under investigation.

A teenager from Hart County is charged in the death of a man killed in a crash in Elbert County: the Georgia State Patrol says 18 year-old John LeCroy of Hartwell was behind the wheel of the vehicle that struck a car driven by Edward Wright of Canon. Wright died after the wreck on Bowman Highway. LeCroy faces counts that include DUI and vehicular homicide.
