A missing teenager and her 6 year-old sister have been found safe after they were reported missing from Habersham County: the GBI put out an alert after the girl’s disappeared from Demorest. The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office says the girls were found around 7:45 a.m. on the side of the road in Walker County. They were not injured. The teenager—17 year-old Estephanie Negrete--was taken into custody on charges of interference with child custody.

A missing teen and her 6-year-old sister have been found safe after they were reported missing from Habersham County, according to the sheriff’s office.
Earlier Monday, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation issued a “Levi’s Call” for 17-year-old Estephanie Negrete Ramirez and 6-year-old Celesta Negreta Ramirez.
The Sheriff’s Office said Estephanie Negrete took her sister shopping on Sunday at around 11 a.m. They were last seen in the area of Kim Loop Road near Demorest in a gold Honda Pilot.
Deputies said the girls’ mother was concerned about Estephanie’s mental state and that she didn’t take her phone with her.

Estephanie Negrete was taken into custody on charges of interference with child custody. She will be transported back to Habersham County where her mental health will be evaluated.
