A Gainesville teenager is killed in a crash in Hall County: Travion Cockfield was 19 years old. The Georgia State Patrol says his car collided with a pick-up truck. He was killed; there were injuries for the truck driver and his passengers, two of whom were hospitalized.
A woman was hospitalized, at last report in serious condition, after a weekend house fire in Gainesville: the Gainesville Fire Department says the woman suffered from smoke inhalation and was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
A Gwinnett County landlord is charged with battery after what began as a dispute with a tenant turned into an hours-long SWAT standoff at a home in unincorporated Lawrenceville. Suspect Allen Moore is 64 years old. Gwinnett Police say the tenant was injured in the encounter with Moore.
