Suspects caught with marijuana, methamphetamine

An Elbert County man faces charges that include kidnaping. The Elbert County Sheriff’s Office says Danny Teasley was taken into custody after a domestic disturbance at a home in Elberton. Other counts against the 48 year-old Teasley include aggravated assault and terroristic threats.

Two suspected drug dealers have been arrested and booked into the Elbert County jail. Jamarcus Hester is 38 years old, from Royston; Tawasa Burton is from Elberton. The Elbert County Sheriff’s Office says Hester is also facing a DUI charge.

Northeast Georgia drug agents say an eight-month investigation has led to the arrests of four suspected drug dealers in Habersham County. Drugs include marijuana and methamphetamine. Suspects are from Demorest and Mt Airy.
