ATLANTA — A majority of American adults say they have experienced fatigue on multiple days over the past three months, according to a new report from the CDC’s National Center for Health Statistics.
The report found about 71% of adults experienced fatigue on multiple days during that period.
Fatigue was defined as physical or mental exhaustion that does not improve with additional sleep or rest.
Women and young adults were more likely to report experiencing fatigue most days or every day.
The study’s lead author also found that fatigue is one of the most frequently reported health concerns during visits to primary care doctors across the country.
