Carly Walden begins serving her life sentence, one that comes with the possibility of parole. The 37 year-old Newton County woman was convicted for the murder of her mother. 57 year-old Andrea Walker was killed in her home in Covington two years ago this month.

Carly Walden was convicted for the April 2019 death of her mother Andrea Walker.
At the time of the incident Walden claimed Walker was shot by an unidentified man. She also claimed that unknown men had brought them both back from a party and attacked them.
Covington News Reports she was found guilty of murder, malice murder, drug possession, and other charges.
Walden received two life sentences in Newton County superior court and will be eligible for parole in thirty years.
