One killed, one wounded in shootings in Hall Co

Hall County Sheriff's Office investigators have a homicide on their hands: one person was shot and killed and another was wounded in a shooting in Duncan Corners, near the Hall-Gwinnett county line. The man who was killed has been identified as Blake Schulte. He was 25 years old, from Buford. The wounded shooting victim is a 16 year-old from Doraville. 

A 35 year-old Gainesville man is arrested after a traffic stop, caught with what Hall County Sheriff's Office investigators say were drugs, a handgun, and more than $6,000 in cash. Joshua Hester was booked into the Hall County jail. Drugs allegedly in his possession included marijuana and ecstasy. 

Gainesville Police, investigating a recent bank robbery, have now identified a suspect: police were, at last report, still searching for 26 year-old John-Ray Brown. Brown is wanted for the November 8 robbery of Wells Fargo bank branch that was held up in Gainesville. 

Two people—a 27 year-old woman and a 25 year-old man, both from Gillsville—have been arrested and booked into the Hall County jail on mail theft charges. Elaina Dildy and Joshua Parker are accused of stealing mail from at least seven homes in north Hall.

Police in Elberton say four convenience store operators are charged with selling alcohol to minors: the arrests follow an operation conducted by the Elberton City Marshal’s Office.

A body has been found in Lake Hartwell. The Hart County Sheriff’s Office says it is that of a young male. The GBI is investigating.
