Positive COVID test closes tax office in Watkinsville

No fines or penalties will accrue while the office is closed

A positive test for coronavirus is closing the Oconee County Tax Commissioner’s Office. The office in Watkinsville is scheduled to be closed through Friday.

From the Oconee Co government website…

Due to a positive Covid-19 test in the Oconee County Tax Commissioner’s office, the office will be closed to the public through Friday, March 12, 2021. In accordance with CDC guidelines, Tax Commissioner’s office staff have been quarantined. No members of the public were exposed. No fines or penalties will accrue while the office is closed.
