Two City Council members in Demorest are the targets of a recall effort led by a former Demorest City Councilwoman: Florence Wikle is pushing a petition drive aimed at forcing a recall vote aimed at getting Nathan Davis and John Hendrix removed from office. A similar recall effort is directed at Demorest Mayor Rick Austin.
At issue in both recall drives is the controversy over this year’s removal of Demorest Police Chief Robin Krockum.
