Savannah braces for St. Patrick’s Day weekend

Savannah officials are expecting half a million visitors to the Hostess City for Friday’s St. Patrick’s Day celebration.

Mayor Van Johnson says crowds have been arriving at the most-popular St. Patty’s destination in the country for days now. He is also asking those attending the parade and weekend festivities to bring a trash bag ang help bag up any trash left around the city.

The 2023 National St. Patrick’s Day Parade will take place today from 12 noon until 2pm
