School officials in Banks, Elbert, and Franklin counties, expressing concerns about traffic, announce plans to close their schools on Monday, the day of the total eclipse of the sun. Most other area school systems that lie in the path of the once-in-a-lifetime solar show, including the Clarke County School District in Athens, have announced plans to delay the end of their school days to keep students on campus during the Monday afternoon eclipse.
