State Supreme Court upholds Hall Co conviction

A teenager convicted of posting a social media threat aimed at a school in Hall County sees that conviction upheld by the Georgia Supreme Court. The state’s highest court ruled in the case of Devon Major, whose September 2014 Facebook post talked about making the Columbine school massacre “look childish.” Major’s lawyers argued that the statute under which he was convicted unconstitutionally vague. The Court ruling upholding Major’s conviction was unanimous.
