The search for a hit-and-run suspect ends when the driver surrenders to the Barrow County Sheriff's Office: the wreck that happened last week left the driver of a jeep with serious injuries. He was rear-ended on Highway 316 near Winder. 22 year-old Zantravious Shields is charged with hit-and-run and serious injury by vehicle. Both those charges are felonies.
An Atlanta man is arrested in Gainesville: the Hall County Sheriff's Office says 26 year-old Henrico Hayes is charged in a string of convenience store burglaries and smash-and-grab robberies that date back to 2016.
It took more than four years, but there is now a conviction in the case of a Gwinnett County man who was arrested on drug trafficking charges in August of 2015: Rigoberto Garcia was accused of trafficking methamphetamine, cocaine, and heroin from his home in Norcross.
