The state executive director of the USDA’s Farm Service Agency is in Athens today: Arthur Tripp is at the University of Georgia’s Garden Classroom. The facility on South Milledge Avenue is the site for a meeting of livestock producers from around the state.
The session, underway at 1 o’clock this afternoon, focuses on federal programs that are available to ranchers across Georgia.

WHAT: The U.S. Department of Agriculture Farm Service Agency Georgia State Executive Director, Arthur Tripp, will host a Livestock Resources Meeting for Georgia Livestock Producers in Athens, GA to increase awareness on Federal Programs. Tripp will discuss USDA programs and resources available to livestock producers and there will also be additional presentations provided by the Natural Resources Conservation Service and Risk Management Agency.
