Georgia Senator Johnny Isakson is on campus today, a guest speaker at the University of Georgia’s Dean Rusk Hall: it’s a noon-hour address for Georgia’s senior Senator.

A University of Georgia student says she was robbed in downtown Athens: she tells Athens-Clarke County Police a man reached from behind and grabbed cash she had just taken out of an ATM. She says it happened at Clayton and Pulaski streets. She says the suspect she chased on foot got away, running toward Bethel Midtown Village. He’s described as a black male, 5-10 and skinny, with a short afro, wearing a black t-shirt and grey pants.

The 20th anniversary edition of the Classic City Brew Fest takes place this weekend, underway at 2:30 Sunday at the Graduate Athens Hotel in downtown Athens. Proceeds will benefit the Athens Area Humane Society.

The rodeo that started last evening in Athens continues tonight and wraps up tomorrow: the Great Southland Stampede Rodeo, organized by the University of Georgia’s Block and Bridle Club, is taking place at the Livestock Instructional Arena on South Milledge Avenue.

There will be a weekend memorial service for Dr. Larry Morris, 2 o'clock Sunday at the First Presbyterian Church in Gainesville. The co-founder of Gainesville's Longstreet Medical Clinic died earlier this week at the age of 80.

The Georgia State Patrol has released the name of the woman killed in this week’s SUV vs dump truck accident in Hall County: Syble Cooper was 69 years old, from Flowery Branch.

For the third time this week, an accident involving a tractor resulting in injuries in northeast Georgia: a 10 year-old Hall County girl was hurt and hospitalized in Atlanta; a Thursday tractor accident in Habersham County sent two people to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville for treatment of what were described as non life-threatening injuries. And one person was killed in White County: the White County Sheriff's Office says 82 year-old Lamon Kinsey was thrown off a tractor and run over by its back wheel. It happened on Kinsey's property off Highway 254 near Cleveland.

DeKalb County Police were, at last report, still working to identify a man found shot to death at a motel near Stone Mountain.

As an Atlanta man recovers from injuries he suffered when shot by police in southwest Atlanta, we learn of another officer-involved shooting in Georgia: a 42 year-old, shot by Lowndes County Sheriff's deputies in Valdosta. Those deputies say Dexter Bethea tried to run them over with his car. Bethea survived the shooting. He's facing various drug charges. The GBI is investigating the incident.

A professional skydiver from Villa Rica has died in a parachute jump in Florida.

Day two of the Masters, today at Augusta National: there is a chance the afternoon rounds could be interrupted by rain and thunderstorms.  Jordan Spieth is three shots clear at 8-under after the first round.
