State Rep Alan Powell, a Republican from Hart County, has written a letter to Georgia’s Republican Attorney General, calling on Chris Carr to audit absentee ballots from the November 3 election and asking for a GBI investigation into allegations of election irregularities in Georgia. Powell is among those still questioning the outcome of the vote in Georgia, a state apparently won by Democrat Joe Biden.
Brad Raffensperger, Georgia’s Secretary of State is responding to attacks, again from within his own party. Raffensperger is calling out Republicans over claims they didn’t have access to data this publicly available data. Senators David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler say they could not get an updated list of registered voters before early voting began in the state’s US Senate runoff election. Raffensperger told the Senators to contact their offices, saying his office had supplied them with the lists in question.
President-elect Joe Biden was on the stump Tuesday in Atlanta, campaigning for Democrats Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, who are today twenty days away from runoffs against Republican Senators David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler. Vice President Mike Pence returns to Georgia tomorrow with a Thursday rally with Republicans in Columbus.
