Sedrick Van Pran announces he is returning to Georgia football for another season

ATHENS — Georgia center Sedrick Van Pran was one of the top players on the championship-winning team this past season. On Friday, Georgia learned that Van Pran will be coming back for one more season at Georgia.

Van Pran announced his decision on social media.

Van Pran has started every game for Georgia over the past two seasons. He was one of four permanent captains on the 2022 team that won a national championship, joining Stetson Bennett, Nolan Smith and Chris Smith.

With Van Pran, Georgia had one of the best offensive lines in the country in 2022. Georgia finished fourth in the country in points per game and led the country in rushing touchdowns. The Bulldogs were a finalist for the Joe Moore Award, which is given annually to the nation’s top offensive line.

Georgia signed Van Pran in the 2020 recruiting cycle out of New Orleans. He redshirted in his first year on campus.
