Cam Shepherd named Rawlings Gold Glove Award Finalist

Georgia’s shortstop Cam Shepherd was named a 2019 Rawlings Gold Glove Award Finalist yesterday after setting the school record for fielding percentage at the shortstop position (.987), breaking his own record (.980) he set in 2018.

Shepherd was a cornerstone in the Bulldogs record-setting defense this past season, helping the Bulldogs set a new school record for the highest team fielding percentage in school history (.980), breaking the school record the team set in 2018 (.979).

This past season, the Bulldogs finished with the second-best fielding percentage in the Southeastern Conference and the 11-best in division one baseball.
