From the ACCPD:
On December 1, 2023, at approximately 10:55 PM, ACCPD was dispatched to an Aggravated Assault in the 100 block of Massey Lane.
Upon arrival, ACCPD located three victims in what is being investigated as an apparent MurderSuicide. Mangell Maivena (Male, 31 YOA, Athens), formerly involved in a domestic relationship with Navarnete-Moreno, approached the vehicle.
A domestic dispute took place, which escalated into gunfire. Maivena shot Navarnete-Moreno and Martinez-Cerritos and then took his own life with a firearm. Navarnete-Morena was deceased at the scene. Martinez-Cerritos was transported to a local hospital with lifethreatening injuries. He succumbed to those injuries on December 3, 2023.
