A Gainesville teenager is booked into the Hall County jail on child sex charges: counts against 18 year-old Fenton Potter include possession of child pornography. He’s also accused of having sex with a girl under the age of 16.

A young man is facing 22 charges after being arrested for child sex crimes twice in less than a week.
Fenton Leander Potter, 18, was arrested on Friday, June 25 by Hall County sheriff’s deputies after they received a tip that Potter had 11 images of child pornography that he transferred to his Tumblr account in March.
Deputies seized several other electronic devices during his arrest and say more charges could be pending.
He was booked into the Hall County Jail and released the next day on a $45,500 bond.
At the time of that arrest, Potter was out on bond after being arrested on Monday, June 21 on charges of statutory rape and electronic exploitation of a minor.
According to the initial details of that case, between June 2020 and January 2021, Potter had sexual intercourse several times with a female under the age of 16.
Investigators searched his phone at the time of the arrest and found two pornographic videos involving children.
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating both cases.
