GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — Gwinnett County police have identified a suspect accused of trying to break into an apartment and are asking for the public’s help in finding him.
Police say a resident in the 900 block of Legacy Park Drive reported that someone came to his home twice in the same day, holding a gun and attempting to kick in the front door.
The resident provided police with doorbell camera footage of both incidents.
According to police, the victim said he does not know the suspect or why he was targeted.
Investigators identified the suspect as 21-year-old Sonny Stephens. He is facing attempted home invasion and gun-related charges.
Surveillance video shows a masked man wearing a dark-colored jacket with the hood pulled up, holding a gun and trying to force entry into the apartment. Police say the same person was also seen earlier in the day outside the home.
