The Georgia Department of Public Health says positive tests for coronavirus in Athens are at their lowest levels since mid-December. The same is true in Oconee County, and across much of the rest of the state, as the Omicron surge appears to have subsided.
Chase Street Elementary School is the site of today’s Clarke County School District coronavirus testing: free COVID testing is available at the school from 11 til 1.

CCSD is providing COVID-19 testing opportunities for our school communities. Rapid antigen tests (results in 15 minutes) and PCR tests (results in 24-48 hours) will be available. No appointment is necessary. However, registration is required. All tests are free, optional, and offered as a convenience to students, staff, and families.
