Athens-Clarke County Police have identified a suspect in last week’s murder of Rodriguez Rucker, who was shot and killed on Royal Court in Athens: police were, at last report, still trying to find Philmon Chambers. He’s 30 years old, from Decatur. He’s believed to be driving a 1995 Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck with DeKalb County plates. The local Crime Stoppers group is offering a $1,000 reward in the case.

ACCPD detectives have identified the vehicle and suspect in connection to the murder of Rodriguez Rucker. ACCPD obtained a warrant for Malice Murder on Philmon D. Chambers, 30-years-old from Decatur, GA. Detectives also have identified the vehicle believed to be involved in the incident, a 1995 Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck with GA plates, RQA 5585, registered in DeKalb county. A Crime Stoppers reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for the location of the vehicle, location of Chambers and information about the incident. The Crime Stoppers Tip Line is 706-705-4775.
