ACCPD investigating shooting death

Athens-Clarke County Police continue their latest homicide investigation: police say 30 year-old Natania Jarrad died of a gunshot to the head after being taken from her home on Airport Road to a hospital in Athens. Her body has been taken to the GBI crime lab for an autopsy. — On 06/17/2018 at approximately 3:00 am, officers were dispatched to a residence off Airport Road in reference to a person shot. Upon their arrival, they located 30-yearold Natania Jarrad who was suffering from a single gunshot wound to the head. The victim’s fiancé, James Anthony, met officers upon their arrival Ms. Jarrad was transported to a local hospital and was pronounced dead. Detectives continue to work to determine the events that led to Ms. Jarrad being shot. Ms. Jarrad’s remains have been sent to the GBI crime lab for autopsy.
