A drug deal leads to a victim being stabbed multiple times, according to police.
The incident happened Tuesday around 12:17 a.m.
Athens-Clarke County Police were called to College Station Road in regard to a stabbing. When officers arrived, they reportedly found the victim, with several stab wounds.
The investigation later revealed that the victim was selling marijuana to the suspect, police said.
According to Athens officials, an altercation occurred, leading to the victim being stabbed multiple times.
The suspect, later identified as Felix Nugyen, 20, of Lawrenceville ran away with the marijuana.
The University of Georgia Police found Nugyen near the stabbing location.
ACCPD arrived and arrested Nguyen. Nugyen is charged with aggravated assault, armed robbery and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
The victim, whose age and identity have not been released is currently stable and expected to survive the injuries.
