Six people are behind bars and more than 100 animals are being nursed back to health after a drug bust in Dawson County in late December.
Deputies say they conducted a search warrant at a home on Goldmine Road in Dawson County that they suspected drugs were being sold out of.
While at the home, deputies found over 100 different animals living in “deplorable conditions.” Dawson County Animal Control took the animals and are currently nursing them back to health with the help of the Dawson County Humane Society.
They have not commented on what kind of animals were found in the home or elaborated on their conditions.
Deputies also arrested six individuals on charges of distribution of methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and disorderly house.
The identities of those arrested have not yet been released.
