Downtown Athens brewery Creature Comforts has named co-founder Adam Beauchamp as its new CEO. This follows the announcement that Adam Herron, another Creature Comforts co-founder, would be stepping down.

A meeting of the Athens-Clarke County Business Development and Workforce Support Task Force is set for 12:30 at the Snipes Building on Barber Street in Athens.

An Oconee County School Board budget hearing is on tap for today, underway at 4 o’clock at School headquarters on School Street in Watkinsville. Board budget adoption is anticipated on Monday of next week.

Madison County Commissioners are meeting this evening in Danielsville, 6 o’clock at the County Government Complex. Oglethorpe County Commissioners are also meeting tonight, 6 o’clock in Lexington.

The food bank that serves Banks and Jackson counties is looking for new headquarters: Banks-Jackson Food Bank operators say they’ve outgrown their current home in Commerce.
