Area briefs: School Boards consider budgets, NE Ga peach growers struggle

The Clarke County School Board, at its meeting last night on Prince Avenue, set June 28 and 29 as the dates for adopting the latest School District budget and setting the District millage rate.

The Madison County School Board, meeting in Danielsville, works to finalize the latest Madison County School budget. It’s expected to top out at just over $66 million. That would be up from $59 million last year.
