Andrew Clyde, the Athens gun shop owner who represents northeast Georgia’s 9th Congressional District, and 10th District Republican Mike Collins, who represents Athens in the US House, were among the no votes on a weekend deal that headed off a partial government shutdown that was to have started Sunday.
Other members of Georgia’s House delegation to vote against the stop-gap funding deal were Republicans Rich McCormick, Barry Loudermilk, and Marjorie Taylor Greene.
The agreement, ratified by the US Senate, keeps the federal government funded for another 45 days.
