A newly-elected state Representative is arrested on drug and theft charges in Barrow County. Danny Rampey, 67 years old from Statham, is accused of burglarizing a unit at an assisted living home. He’s a manager at Magnolia Estates in Winder.

A 67 year-old Statham man who was recently elected to represent Barrow County in the Georgia House of Representatives was arrested Thursday on burglary and drug charges. Daniel Rampey, a manager at Magnolia Estates of Winder Assisted Living Center and the representative-elect for District 119, allegedly burglarized a unit in the assisted living facility.
The Georgia House District 119 Representative-Elect was arrested in Barrow County Thursday for allegedly stealing narcotics from a unit at an assisted living facility in Winder. Daniel Rampey, a manager at Magnolia Estates of Winder, was caught on camera breaking into a resident’s room -- twice.
Rampey ran unopposed in last month’s election.
